I got to know Nicholas and Celia more than a year ago. I remember meeting them at Hans at Great Eastern building, and they were looking for a photographer for their solemnisation. Well, I ended up being that photographer, and I went on to shoot their outdoor engagement session as well. I remember them being a very easy couple to take pictures of, as they are very cooperative to my “commands” haha.

Fast forward to a year, and one day I got a call from Nicholas. Guess what? We met at Hans at Great Eastern building and had a good time catching up with one another. Though we did not have much chance to see or talk to each other over the past year, it felt almost like old friends meeting up and it is a nice feeling. Nic and Celia are a sincere couple and I was really glad to be able to their photographer once again, this time on their actual day.

I hope we will be able to keep this friendship going. Congratulations guys!

It was by chance that I met Ryan and Melissa at the Singapore Brides forums. They were looking for a pre wedding photographer, while I was looking for pre wedding couples! Ha, so like they say, the rest is history!

We decided to shoot early to catch the morning sun. For that, Melissa has to start her makeup at 5am, which I was really appreciative of. As it had been raining a few days before, we were fortunate that the weather held up on that day, and we even had some blue skies!

It was interesting to note that, after shooting Ben’s graduation (see a couple of posts back), I have had enquries about similar kinds of shoot from graduates-to-be. Which got me thinking.. that there is a need for a different kind of photography, the type that differs from the usual you-holding-a-plaque-standing-in-a-studio type of graduation photography. Young people like Ben and Marie, and I bet a whole lot of others, wants something that is a little unique to celebrate their commencement into the working world!

All I can say is… look for me :)

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Marie is graduating from my alma mater – Murdoch University in Perth, and I immediately felt a sense of affinity towards this young lady! Fond memories of my student days come flooding back into my mind because my four years spent in Murdoch University was one of my best years of my life. How time flies!

To show their support, Marie’s parents, brother and his girlfriend joined in the fun and I must say they are really a cool bunch of people. I think we all had great fun that day and I wish Marie all the very best in her future career and life.

I just love the green!

The mandatory motar board toss!

Time for some quirky shots!

Yeah! Working life here we come!
