Michael and Juli’s wedding was special to me in more ways than one. I photographed Juli’s brother – Gerald’s wedding a few years ago and both Gerald and his wife, Elaine are also very good friends of my wife and I. On the other hand, Michael’s parents were my wedding coordinators!

So it was with a sense of joy and anticipation that I photographed their wedding last week.

Michael and Juli met way back  in church, and slowly got to know each other better while serving in their own area of ministry.  They are also one of the nicest couples that I know. Michael is ever steady and cool headed, and from my interactions with him both in church and during our photography sessions, I find him to be a thoughtful person as well. Juli has a quiet demeanor, but is always ready to greet you with a smile. Through the wedding, I can sense their love for each other by the little glances and gestures that they make. I am happy to be able to share their joy, along with their families and friends.

One of the most easy going couples that I know of, Boon Pin and Sarah got married on a bright early morning. They were not flustered by anything, but just enjoyed the day with smiles and a coolness that is hard to miss. I think this is how all wedding couples should be – enjoy the day and stop worrying if the caterer is on time, if the traffic is bad along the way, etc. It is hard to do so (I know because it was hard for me to stop running mental checklists in my head during my own wedding), but I think it is something worth working for. After all, we only get married once, so we really should cherish and remember the day as one that we enjoyed ourselves with our family and friends.

Anyway, I must also talk a little bit about Sarah’s cats, Rex and Gina. Rex is the boss of the house. He has that “don’t mess with me” look and likes to do everything his way. I tried to get his attention to take some pictures, but I think he just doesn’t care very much about me haha. Gina on the other hand, is more relaxed and laid back. I think I like Gina more

I will be working on their album very soon, but before that, I would just like to share some of my favourite images from their wedding.
