They say time flies, and indeed it has flown by! It seemed so recent that I compiled the images that represented my work in 2010, and now it is time to present to you the images that I’ve chosen for 2011. The past 12 months has been meaningful and eventful, and made so in no small way by my wonderful friends and couples. I’ve not told this to every couple whom I’ve photographed, but I always feel a sense of gratitude and humility to be trusted to create images for arguably their most important day. Being a wedding photographer is not just about owning expensive gears and snapping away. It is being able to capture images that is significant, images that stirs the emotion even after many years that bring meaning to our craft, and this will always be my challenge and the driving force behind my work.

I call this compilation the “Best of 2011″ not so much because these images represent my best work in 2011. Rather, behind each of them is a wonderful couple who had given me their trust and had allowed me to express my creativity. To me, they are my best couples and it is my hope that the images represent the best of them.

To all my couples, thank you, and you guys rock!

This is a collection of images taken in Cambodia and Vietnam, mainly of children. Most of us, including myself, will probably never know what it is like to live like they do. But when they smile, it brings hope to all of us.

This Christmas, may we learn to cherish what we have, to share what we can give, and to love those that we have forgotten.

Here’s wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas!

I think Jing and Hui are one of the most happy couple that I have photographed, as smiles and laughter seem to revolve around them wherever they go! Not that I am complaining of course. I love smiles, especially when they are sincere, uninhibited and comes forth from a heart brimming with joy, and there were an abundance of these on their wedding day.

Jing is a diehard Arsenal fan, and though Hui is not much of a soccer addict, she tries to watch all the matches with him, including those that was played in the wee hours as a form of support. Isn’t that sweet!

So it was no surprise that the brothers and sisters all tuned up in a soccer themed attire complete with referee whistles and a soccer ball on their wedding day, and it was just so crazily fun!
